Located in New Mexico just south of Lordsburg, Shakespeare is a ghost town that started in the 1850's and has had the names of Grant and Ralston, being renamed Shakespeare in 1879. The Hill family bought it in 1930 for a ranch and has preserved it as best the could, including having it placed on America's list of National Historic Sites.

It's an entertaining tour with re-enactments of gunfights from our history.

Janaloo Hill died last year and her husband Emanuel Hough continues to operate the town with the same spirit and zeal. He is a perfectionist when it comes to replicating what was there and lovingly restores every detail.
